Thayri Thalippu

Thayri Thalippu is served as side dish for idly and dosa. It will actually require a minute time to prepare. Very very easy and different yummy side dish. If you want to show variety in side dishes you can prepare Thayri Thalippu as one. I hope amma did it twice or thrice (a long back), appa did't like so she stop doing it.  My Periyamma will do this often since I like it when ever i go to her home she will make this along with other side dishes.

I always wonder how the simple curd turns into yummy side dish in a minute.

Thayir Thalippu Recipe Ingredients :

Curd : 1/2 cup
Red Chilies : 3 - 4 no's (cut roughly)
Curry Leaves : Few (cut roughly)
Bengal Gram : 1 tbsp
Mustard Seeds : 1 tsp
Oil : As required
Salt : As per taste

Method :
1.Keep the ingredients ready. Heat oil in a pan and add Mustard seeds and Bengal Gram let it splutter.
2.Once the bubbles stops add curry leaves and red chilies. Fry for 30 seconds to 1 minute and turn off the flame. Keep the curd ready by adding salt.
3.Add the seasoning into the curd and mix it well.

Now your Thayir Thalippu is ready to serve.

Serve with hot dosa or idly.

Notes:
Use fresh curd for good taste.
You can also add turmeric powder, hing, chopped small onion's for extra taste.
Inside of red chili, you can also green chili.
According to your spice level you can adjust the chili number's.
