Pepper Chicken

Before and all Pepper Chicken is available only in restaurant, but now a days Pepper Chicken is been cooked in home. Some will follow the same restaurant style of steps. Pepper Chicken can be made dry or in gravy style, same steps is followed for both only difference is in the quantity of water quantity we add.Pepper Chicken dry will tastes good with Biriyani and gravy goes well with Egg Rice, Jeera Rice, Coconut Milk Rice or with Plain Rice. Here I showed steps preparing Pepper Chicken dry recipe.

Pepper Chicken recipe Ingredients: 

Chicken : 1/2 KG
Big Onion : 3 no's (Slice Chopped)
Tomato : 1 Medium sized (Finely Chopped without seeds)
Green Chill : 2 no's (Roundly Chopped)
Curry Leaves : Few
Pepper Powder : 7-10 tbsp
Garam Masala Powder : 2 tbsp
Turmeric Powder : 2 tsp
Curd : 3 tbsp
Oil : 7-10 tbsp
Salt : As needed
Water : As required

Method :
1. Clean the Chicken and marinade with 2-3 tbsp of Pepper Powder and 1 tsp of Turmeric Powder.

2. Keep the Ingredients ready.

3. In a pan heat oil and add mustard seeds let it splutter then add chopped big onion fry still raw smell leaves and colour changer after that add green chill and finely chopped tomato.

4. After the raw smell of tomato leaves add curry leaves and chicken and mix it. 

5. Keep cooking so that the chicken colour will change sightly at this stage add the remaining Pepper Powder and Garam Masala Powder,Salt and Turmeric Powder. Add little water (1/8 cup approximately) and cook still the spices adds to chicken.

 6. After some time add the required water, give a stir and close it with the lid. Be on this step still the chicken cooks. You need to check now and then for water and spice level. According to your taste you can add more Pepper Powder or Garam Masala Powder can be added. If it is so spicy don't worry we adjust that in next step using curd.

7. At this stage add curd give a quick stir and turn off the flame immediately. Mix the curd well with the whole chicken.

Pepper Chicken is ready to eat now. Transfer to the serving blow.

Serve hot with Rice or Chapati  and enjoy the taste of  Pepper Chicken.

    You can skip the step 1 (marinade step). While start cooking if i remainder means, i will marinade or else i will start cooking directly from step 2. So step 1 is purely optional.
    Add the Powder's once after the chicken colour changes slightly (in step 5).
    Add water little by little for cooking the chicken, if you add more water it will become gravy.
    According to your spice level you can add curd. If you think, hot is correct then you can skip the step 7 (last step of adding curd).
     In step 5 stir continuously to avoid charring.
     Instead of curd you can also use Lemon Juice.
